UN’s obsequious obedience in Burma means more murder

The lazy and incompotent United Nations thats vast budget is guaranteed by the US should go the way of the League of Nations. It’s special envoy, Ibrahim Gambari, visiting Burma during the killings and torturing did everything the regime requested that he do because they have the backing of China, a country thats human rights record is abysmal. He was a special envoy in that he specialised in obsequious obedience.

The insult to the UN was that the killings continued while their “special envoy” was travelling the country. The UN is so up itself it no longer registers insult or injury. An organisation so out of touch, and abused by its members it’s forgotten the power and decisiveness it occasionally displayed in the first place. It’s displayed nothing recently. It’s delay in entering East Timor played into the hands of the Indonesian military and its cadres by allowing days of slaughter time. Australia helped in that of course. Foreign Minister Downer gave the UN schedule and the killing began. See my prophetic novel, Cleaning Up, Sceptre 93, that predicted the Downer scenario by half a dozen years.

Connie Levett, in The Age today, revealed that Surinder Karkar Singh (also, for reasons of avoiding the Burmese death squads, known as Ayea Myint and U Pancha {the Punjabi} and no doubt he has more names unknown by us) blasted the UN for sending such a pitiful specimen as Gambari, and finds it impossible to believe the UN will send him back in November (by that time the death squads will have wiped out those leaders asking for democracy).

U Pancha is prepared to die, he told Connie Levett, who has filed what should have been a front page story for The Age but it was relegated to page 11. I suppose The Age gets away with it (at least it reports) because Australians are so politically passive and will get more so under Yes-me-too Rudd.

If the citizens of the West become more pliant our democracies will be nothing but shells by the time the planet becomes seriously dysfunctional by 2015.
